Seraphic Feather Afternoon KC Morimoto You & Utatane Hiroyuki KC-78 Kodansha Publishing Disclaimer: This is meant for non-Japanese speaking Utatane Hiroyuki fans that have bought the Japanese manga. This is not meant as an infringement in ANY way towards Utatane-sensei, Kodansha Shouten, Afternoon, or anyone else that might own rights to this series. Also, I am not the best translator in the world, I'm still a student.. and translating things like this only help my learning progress. ^_^ In order to capture as much of the original text as possible, my translations are as literal as (I think) can be, while there was also a pantsload of effort into making it readable by an english speaking audience. Please enjoy and support Utatane-sensei in his endeavors. Dozo... --- Seraphic Feather Volume 2 - Act 7 Brought to you by Miharu of Sagara Productions miharu@niders.com http://niders.com/sagara/ P.1 Attim: You've been watching the whole time over here. P.2 Ricks: Heh heh. Heh heh he. You've got some spirit.. P.4 Attim: A holograph of the wall huh. I appreciate your efforts in that. Ricks: What happened over there... Ricks: He was a pretty small fish to get in a sword fight with. Ricks: Presenting Bureau Inspector Attim M. Zak. Ricks: A terrorist to be feared, called "The Red Guardian Angel" of two names. P.5 Ricks: How about I take that bag. Attim: ... How do you think I'll let you escape with it? Ricks: Heh heh. I think you have me confused with one more careless. Ricks: So you will die right here! P.9 Attim: Wha...!? P.13 Ricks: Heh ha ha ha! Armed Bureau Inspector, I have no sympathy for this person. Ricks: In spite of this hoshi-jin's skills before, are you really that incompetent? * * Hoshi-jin - literally "star person". Take this to mean an alien of some breed, I suppose. Attim: Heh heh. P.14 Attim: Hef. Ah ha ha ha ha ha!! Ricks: Wha.. What's so funny!? Attim: Heh heh heh hee.. Attim: What you guys refer to as a hoshi-jin's skills, I feel so let P.15 Attim: down at such a standard. You know of the Eric affair, 100 people were buried because of terrorist usage at that time of this gadget, the Death Seeker. Ricks: Even with your unusual abilities, if you had 10 minutes, you wouldn't be able to win against one of these. It has no weak spot. Attim: It's a trap, isn't it. Heh. Ricks: Heh heh. It's not painted with poison. Ricks: You're too beautiful of a person to be covered in blood, I think -- P.24 Ricks: So... isn't that so. Please enjoy yourself. In background of Attim: Ki Chi Ki Chi, etc... kichi is a grinding noise. Act 7 End Translation notes: Yay! Tankobon 1 finished, and tankobon 2 officially started! I must say, I'm a little proud of myself *^_^* I translated this all in one night after I got home from work. Lucky me ^_^ I plan to translate the entire manga series (oh boy.. do I have a job ahead of me ^^;)... but I do have to warn you all that I'm rather slow at translating projects because I'm always translating so many things at once. Soon, after I feel like editing the previous translation scripts, I'll lump them together for the first tankobon, and make a literal version, and a not-so-literal (think Viz.. sort of.) version, for those who aren't really fond of literal translations. I'm still contemplating what series to tackle in between translating Seraphic Feather. I would like to get a hold of Lythis, but I can't find it out here in Los Angeles (go figure ^^;) Two ideas for new projects are Joker (not Nagano Mamoru's work, the TM Revolution manga) or Mahou Tsukai Tai! Maybe even Please Save My Earth... I haven't gotten any (and I mean ANY) feedback from these translations though, so I don't know if I'm just doing this for myself and Zahara-chan or what ^^; Thanks to Zahara-chan, these translations will have a home. You can find her really great Seraphic Feather website here: http://www.swb.de/~zahara/uta/sfeather.html There's also lots and lots of Utatane info on there, so go check it out if you haven't already..
