Rurouni Kenshin Chapter 225: "A Gust of Wind, At That Time..." Thank you thank you thank you to Wuken for this summary and the pics! I, for one, was really hanging for it ;P --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tsubame, running out of Rakuninmura, stumbles over and crashes hard on the ground below her. In the midst of helping herself get up, she begins crying. "Yahiko-kun... Kenshin-san...", she says. She suddenly feels a gust of wind behind her, and her tears of sadness immediately become tears of joy. She glows radiantly, joyful because of what she sees before her. Kuma helps Oibore to a cup of tea, and asks him not to spill it. Oibore is grateful for the kind gesture. The old man adds that he wanted to thank Kuma for bringing the little girl here to this place. Oibore then adds, "I didn't know you had a preference for little girls..." Kuma spits out his drink. Oibore guesses he must have been wrong about Kuma's taste, and Kuma vehemently replies that of course he is. Kuma adds that he brought the girl because he was reminded of his daughter that was taken away by his wife, and that he felt like being a good person. Kuma asks Oibore in return what are some of the things he likes, and the old man replies that he likes the smell of white plum blossoms, this hairpin (stuck in his hair), and basically, all of the things his daughter loved. Oibore then thanks Kuma for the meal, and tells him he'll be leaving soon. Kuma wonders where, and Oibore says he'll be going to Kyoto, since it's been a while and that his daughter probably misses him. Kuma asks the old man if he thinks that the house he'll be returning to will still be there. Of course, the old man replies. It's a grave I'm going to visit. Kuma realizes that the hairpin Oibore is wearing is that of his deceased daughter. He then quickly changes the subject, and reminds the old man to get going. Oibore reminds Kuma to help people out here, especially because the population of Rakuninmura is growing every day. Kuma says, of course, and that he'll be kind and not play favorites with anyone. He then asks why the old man was so kind to that certain samurai (who we all know as Kenshin). "Because, you see, he's special to me. He was a husband who cared for my daughter even in her last moments", Oibore replies with a smile. Kuma wonders if the samurai made it in time (to help out Yahiko), but Oibore says it's alright, and not to worry about it! Meanwhile, on the other side of town, Yahiko manages to lift the gigantic hand crushing his body. Shinichi cheers Yahiko on, but falls due to his injuries. His squad reminds him to not forget about his own injuries. Shinichi realizes that after looking at Yahiko that he's in no condition to fight any longer. In a fit of rage, Kujiranami swipes at Yahiko with the bayonet of his grenade launcher, and blood splatters on the street as Yahiko is cut by the blade. The giant picks Yahiko up by the head and points the grenade launcher directly at the boy. Shinichi calls out, "That's enough!" "Stop already, that's enough", he thinks. He has a feeling that Yahiko will someday grow up to empower the people, and that a great man like him can't die at a place or time such as this. He urgently calls out for someone... anyone... to stop Kujiranami. His wish is granted. Kujiranami is hit in 9 vital points across his body, and Yahiko falls harmlessly to the ground. Aoshi and Saitoh run out of the carriage they were brought in, and Misao and Megumi are awestruck at the scene they've just witnessed. All four recognize the attack just performed as Hiten Mitsurugi Kuzuryuusen, and as the dust clouds dissipates, a familiar figure materializes. "Who is that?" Shinichi and the rest of the police squad wonder. Misao happily calls out "Himura!", and Megumi is overjoyed to see a friend himself once again. "Kenshin-san..." Saitoh smirks, and mutters "Battousai", and Aoshi corrects him. "No, it's not. It's..." "Kenshin...", Yahiko finishes. Kenshin Himura... has been revived! --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Woo - hoo! Check out the pics before they're all ... gone! --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Back to Main [1]
